S.Africa finmin Gordhan-cbank must look at growth, jobs

South Africa's central bank must take into account growth and jobs when making its policy decisions, Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan said on Wednesday.

He told public broadcaster SABC radio that he had written to Reserve Bank Governor Gill Marcus stressing that while the inflation target of 3 to 6 percent remained in place, its mandate allowed for deviations because of factors including job losses, growth and credit demand.
