Vitafoam declares NGN518.9mn profit, proposes 30kobo dividend for 2011

For year ended September 30, 2011, Vitafoam Nigeria Plc recorded NGN14.520bn turnover, compared with NGN10.624bn recorded in 2010. Profit after tax, according to the company, also increased from NGN512.784mn in 2010 to NGN518.850mn, while cost of sales stood at NGN10.166bn, against NGN7.640bn in 2010. Operating expenses was NGN3.400bn from NGN2.174bn in 2010, with fixed assets at NGN2.568bn within the period under review compared with NGN1.692bn in 2010. According to the directors of the company cash and bank balances is presently at NGN459.414mn as against NGN452.316mn. Short term borrowing within the period was N3.061bn, compared with NGN408.802mn in 2010, while working capital as at September 2011, was NGN455.002mn compared with NGN1.130bn in 2010. In its report to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the board of Vitafoam explained that shareholders of the company are entitled to 30 Kobo divided. The yearly general meeting of the company is scheduled to hold February 23, 2011 while payment date will be communicated to shareholders in due course.
