Entrepreneurship as a Solution for Gender Equality

Nigerian women could be excused for asking "what economic progress" when economists speak of the country's growth rate of over 7 percent per annum. The World Bank research found that there has been no meaningful impact on the majority of the country's women.

Like in many other parts of Africa, this has pushed many women into the informal sector. However experts say a solution could be found in entrepreneurship backed by deliberate legal instruments to support gender equality.
