Future of Fuel in Africa - Part 1

Currently, new vehicles in South Africa need only comply with Euro 2 emission standards. Europe is moving towards Euro 6. The technology debate is on-going. Does Africa have the infrastructure in place to go greener?

It's all very well to create a Euro 3 or Euro 4 compliant vehicle, but when will operators have access to that quality of fuel?

Here to answer these questions are Frank Beeton, an Economist at Econometrix and Avhapfani Tshifularo, Executive Director of the SA Petroleum Industry Association.
