SEC Nigeria's Project 50

The Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC Nigeria is gearing up for its landmark Project 50 series of events. Project 50 is the code - name for commemorative activities for 50 years of regulating the Nigerian capital market. A Project 50 Committee headed by the Director General, Ms. Arunma Oteh has been constituted with a mandate to formulate a calendar of activities as well as manage specific events in order to secure optimal outcomes.

The highpoint of the range of events would be a formal launch activity which will be graced by principals of the Nigerian state, notable local and foreign investors, captains of industry, etc. Other highlights of the anniversary calendar would be an Investors' Forum which will feature a renowned figure in the international business arena as keynote speaker; the premiere of the SEC Nigeria - sponsored special investor education movie, "Breeze" through which the Commission, in partnership with Nollywood, Nigeria's soar away movie industry, intends to propagate the virtues of a savings / investment culture among the Nigerian citizenry and much more.
