S.Africa mine workers down tools in mourning -union

South Africa's National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) said on Thursday that more than 4,500 workers at DRDGOLD's DRDJ.J Blyvoor mine downed tools to mourn a co-worker who died last week.

"There will be no work today. We'll have a memorial service and then go home," said Deon Boqwana, the NUM 's chairperson in Carletonville, close to where the mine is located.
