But it may also indicate a shift in the balance of power between established and emerging economies. With Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim announced as Forbe's richest man in the world.Earlier this morning Lerato Mbele spoke to Piers Schmidt, Chairman of South Africa's Luxury Association about this list.
