SATNAC is the event for Industry, Academia and Operators to publish on matters concerning progress achieved in applied research in the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) sector. SATNAC prides itself on being an ideal forum for postgraduate students to highlight successes achieved on their research. As many industry leaders also attend the conference, SATNAC has proved to be an excellent networking platform for the telecoms industry.

This years SATNAC Conference is held at the Spier Estate from 5 - 8 September

The Spier Estate, in the heart of South Africa's Cape Winelands, is more than an innovative and iconic destination. It is a place of hope that delivers experiences that rejuvenate the mind, body and soul.

The fabric of Spier's rich history was created out of a journey that began in 1692 and has been embroidered for over three centuries. The original Manor House and slave bell, as well as the oldest dated wine cellar in South Africa, have been impeccably restored for future generations to stay in touch with the past.

SATNAC Special Broadcast - Part 1

Art, culture, wine, food, nature and conservation – these are the pillars of the Spier experiences and all are manifest on the estate, giving guests the opportunity to see, smell, hear, feel and taste for themselves the variety of unexpected encounters available at Spier.

Spier has long believed that the arts have a crucial role to play in the African Renaissance as art, in all its forms, has the power to transform societies. As such, we launched the Spier Arts Summer Season 11 years ago as a way to express our passion for the arts. A fine collection of African art has been deployed throughout the estate. It draws our guests into exploring the vibrancy, energy and life of the diverse heritage of the Cape and the African continent, embodying multiple cultures and traditions. Visitors can absorb the power of this collection with ease as they stroll around Spier.

Guests at Spier have a number of leisure options to choose from. Nowhere else in the Cape would you have access, within easy walking distance, to a Wine Centre, a seasonal open-air theatre, swimming pools, a spa, children’s activities, craft exhibitions, wildlife encounters, horse riding and a nearby a golf course – and yet still be in the heart of the Winelands.

You can experience different eating experiences at the Spier Deli, Moyo, Eight and the Spier Hotel Restaurant.
